Shawn Who?
Meet “Mortgage Loan Expert”
Shawn Janusheske
Not too long ago I was flat broke. I had three mortgages, 4 student loans, 2 vehicle payments, 2 installment loans and a maxed out credit card. I felt like the plate juggler, running from one plate (or bill) to the next trying to keep them all spinning (or paid) . . . and things were about to worse.
My wife Deborah and I literally had nothing in the bank. We lived paycheck to paycheck. We were one bad furnace or car break down away from total financial disaster. And then both happened at the same time. Talk about ugly. We had to ask my dad for $12,000 to bail us out. That was embarrassing.
Things are much different now. All we have is a mortgage. Both of our vehicles are paid for, our credit cards never carry a balance from month to month and we keep a minimum of 12 months of payments in our savings account.
I tell you this not go brag but to impress upon you that I practice what I preach. I’m not giving you a “pitch” to sell you on an idea. I don’t look at you as a dollar sign or a notch on my belt.
The bottom line is I was so determined to get out of that awful situation that I promised myself if I ever figured a way out, I’d share it with others. As cliché as it sounds, it’s true. And somehow I ended up becoming a loan officer a little over 10 years ago. Ever since then, I have been committed to helping normal, everyday people make sound decisions with their mortgages.
RECORD of EXCELLENCE: in 10 years I’ve worked for 4 different mortgage companies, 2 in Wisconsin and 2 in Colorado. In all 4 I’ve been a top producing loan officer. Doing that once you might be lucky. Twice, could be the environment you’re working in. But anything after that deserves recognition for knowing what you’re doing.
WARNING: I may not be your cup of tea. I won’t always agree with you. I may tell you things you don’t want to hear. And I may end up shocking you because I feel you shouldn’t refinance. But in the end, I believe you’ll agree it was worth it. The greatest reward I get is when my clients call or drop me a line telling me they’re following the plan and creating more wealth than they were prior to our meeting.
TRUST ME: I’ve seen it all, the good, the bad, the ugly. I’ve worked with all types of clients from those just starting out, the self employed, the newly employed, the property investor, military, divorced, the soon-to-be retired and those that are already done working. You’d be hard pressed to find a situation I haven’t seen before.
So if you think that a mortgage is a mortgage, every loan officer is the same and that your credit is so great that you don’t need any of my mortgage expertise, are you really sure?
Dedicated to earning your trust,
Shawn Janusheske, Senior Loan Officer
